What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy describes cookies and browser storage currently used by the Menyra development website and web application.
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on a user device. Similar browser technologies, such as local storage, can also retain preferences.
Current storage technologies
Menyra uses first-party session and preference storage. Google Analytics 4 may also be enabled for the public marketing website, but its provider script remains blocked until Analytics consent is explicitly granted.
- Session storage/cookie: supports framework session state, CSRF/security flows and temporary contact-form anti-spam state. Its exact cookie name and lifetime depend on the deployed session configuration.
- menyra_locale cookie: stores the selected supported language for up to one year. It is first-party, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and marked Secure when served over HTTPS.
- menyra-theme localStorage entry: stores the selected system/light/dark theme preference in the browser until the user changes it or clears browser storage.
- menyra-consent localStorage entry: stores the visitor's versioned Required, Analytics and Marketing consent choices so the site can remember the decision and keep optional technologies blocked unless allowed.
- Google Analytics 4: when enabled and allowed, Google may set first-party analytics cookies such as _ga and measurement-specific _ga_* cookies. These are used to distinguish browser activity for aggregate website measurement and can persist for up to two years unless removed earlier by the browser, the visitor or provider configuration.
Current consent controls
Menyra presents Required, Analytics and Marketing categories so visitors can understand the intended distinction between essential and optional technologies.
Google Analytics 4 is the supported optional website analytics provider. It is not loaded before Analytics consent, and Marketing remains unconfigured and not preselected.
The consent choice is stored as a versioned first-party browser preference. If the consent version changes or the saved value is invalid, Menyra asks for a new choice.
Google Analytics 4 and any future optional integrations remain technically blocked until the corresponding consent category has been explicitly allowed.
You can reopen Cookie preferences from the public footer at any time to change or withdraw optional consent.
Guest-facing public menus use the same consent state and rules with a more compact initial presentation. Menyra does not load Google Analytics 4 on public menu pages; the native privacy-minimized menu analytics do not create an analytics cookie and are separate from the optional external Analytics category.
Managing browser storage
You can remove cookies and local-storage values through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting essential session storage can affect security-protected forms or other application functions, while clearing the language or theme preference will simply reset that preference.
Optional website analytics
When enabled, Menyra uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand aggregate traffic and usage of the public marketing website. Menyra configures this integration without advertising signals or ad-personalization signals.
The Google Analytics provider script is represented as inert markup until Analytics consent is granted. Withdrawing Analytics consent disables future measurement in the current page and triggers a best-effort removal of first-party _ga analytics cookies.
Google Analytics 4 is intentionally excluded from customer public-menu pages. Menyra native menu analytics remain first-party and privacy-minimized and do not set a dedicated analytics cookie.
